Founding Head of Brokerage Operations & Insurance Innovation

You will own the insurance engine of the business end to end. Specifically, you will:

• Launch and oversee brokerage operations, ensuring compliance, clean execution, and professional standards carriers respect
• Set up and manage carrier appointments, MGA relationships, and co-broking partnerships
• Own the full lifecycle of the book from quoting through renewal, including selling, closing, servicing, and retention
• Provide deep commercial P&C credibility in carrier conversations and with sophisticated buyers
• Build backend systems for quoting, renewals, compliance, and service delivery from scratch
• Translate our mission into practical, repeatable operating systems
• Work directly with founders as a true partner, not a downstream executor
• Navigate ambiguity while maintaining the confidence and rigor the market expects

This role helps mission-driven companies and climate-exposed communities buy insurance together, negotiate better terms, and redirect premiums into impact that matters to them, using insurance as a lever for resilience rather than just risk transfer.

You are someone who wants to build, not advise. You likely have:

• 10+ years in brokerage, carrier, or MGA roles with exposure to both retail and wholesale
• Direct experience setting up or scaling a brokerage, practice, or book of business
• Proven ability to sell, negotiate, and manage complex P&C programs
• Comfort operating with limited resources and imperfect information
• Strong technical fluency and openness to modern systems and tools

• You lead with integrity, humility, and an "enough" mindset over growth at all costs

This is a full-time leadership role with both equity ownership and competitive salary based on experience.

• Base salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience
