Our North & Midlands Water team is on the lookout for a passionate Flood Risk Consultant to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Water Business Line. This is your chance to help deliver high profile, influential projects across the UK and even further afield while working at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious and connected northern engineering hubs.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping resilient, future proof solutions for communities, infrastructure and the environment. No two days are the same, and you’ll have every opportunity to grow, innovate, and collaborate with a team that thrives on variety.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Develop Flood Risk Assessment reports for a range of sizes and complexities of developments with support from senior team members, including larger NSIP developments which are undertaken within the DCO / EIA process
- Play a key role in delivering complementary projects and building capability EIA, SFRA, and flood risk permitting / consenting.
- Writing clear and concise technical reports, summarising technical concepts for a wide range of audiences such as the Planning Inspectorate, Environment Agency, LLFAs, Clients and the Public.
- Help manage project delivery through adherence to project programmes, budgets and quality assurance procedures.
- Take pride in the production of high-quality technical work and deliverables.
- Provide technical mentorship and provision of support to graduate team members.
- Assist with the preparation of tender responses and proposals.
