Mission

What you will drive

  • Lead the Nuru U.S. finance department and collaborate with finance colleagues across the Nuru Collective to ensure effective and compliant financial systems.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and board slides with a focus on budget forecasting, cash flow, and reconciling projections.
  • Execute annual budgeting and planning processes, provide quarterly feedback, and develop key financial metrics and donor budgets.
  • Oversee grants accounting, payroll processing, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP standards and audit requirements.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 5-10 years of U.S. finance and analysis experience with increasing responsibility and deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting, financial planning, audits, and donor reporting.
  • Experience working across multiple entities and country locations.
  • Passion for Nuru’s mission and eagerness to travel to Africa (2-3 trips annually).
  • Bonus: Experience in Google Workspace, QuickBooks, NetSuite; CPA license; working proficiency or fluency in French.
