Finance Director

• Lead financial strategy, stewardship, compliance, and risk management across a complex, multi-country organization.
• Oversee grant and donor finance management, including restricted funding portfolios and institutional donor compliance.
• Drive systems and process improvements, including ERP platforms, to enhance financial data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Manage and develop a geographically dispersed finance team, building trusted relationships with leadership and the board.

This role ensures that NRGI's financial resources are managed effectively and transparently, enabling the organization to transform natural resource governance for sustainable development and just transitions in low- and middle-income countries.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with at least 15 years of progressive senior financial leadership experience.
• Substantial experience in an international NGO, nonprofit or development organization, including multi-country, multi-currency financial operations.
• Track record managing complex multi-donor restricted funding portfolios and compliance with major institutional donors.
• Strong technical grounding in US GAAP and nonprofit financial regulations; experience leading external audits and serving as senior liaison to an Audit and Finance Committee.
