Finance Assurance Consultant

Core responsibilities:

• Finance system management including SAP analysis, monthly reporting, purchase order creation, goods receipt processing, project creation, budget maintenance, forecasting, vendor management, aged debt reporting, and invoice handling
• Evaluation of cost data and structures against contractual/commercial principles, analysis to identify patterns, themes, trends and risks, and appraisals of cost capture and commercial management processes
• Detailed cost verification, payroll audits, data sampling, identification of process improvement opportunities for cost controls and commercial governance
• Management of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications, supporting production of close-out reports, and presentation of outputs and recommendations to clients

This role supports the delivery of value-added commercial assurance services that help clients make impactful business decisions, while contributing to AECOM's mission of uplifting communities and enhancing lives through infrastructure development.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience with finance system management, particularly SAP, and financial processes including purchase orders, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management
• Ability to evaluate cost data against contractual principles, analyze patterns and risks, and conduct detailed cost verification and payroll audits
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills for interfacing with project staff, finance teams, and presenting to clients
• Flexibility to adapt to different client requirements, work remotely, and travel throughout the UK and abroad as needed
