Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop research tools to assess perception and satisfaction of target groups, implementing questionnaires during interviews
  • Undertake a mission to the region (Sudan, Uganda, Egypt, etc.) for approximately 10 days to conduct semi-structured interviews and key informant interviews
  • Analyze all collected data to identify trends and new priority action areas for the future
  • Write the external evaluation study and present conclusions to the Promediation team

This role assesses the impact of a mediation project aimed at mitigating tensions in Darfur and East Sudan, contributing to peacebuilding efforts and identifying lessons for future conflict prevention initiatives in the region.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in humanities or other relevant fields with minimum 5 years' professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically in managing and conducting evaluations of peace and security, social cohesion, stabilization and peacebuilding projects
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with formal and informal approaches to data collection and analysis
  • Good understanding of the political-security context and dynamics in Sudan, particularly in Darfur
