Fiber Optic Splicer 2 (Remote)

• Perform splicing and testing of fiber optic cables in indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve fiber optic issues, analyze test results, and maintain accurate records of splicing operations and network configurations.
• Train and support entry-level technicians, manage splicing tools inventory, and stay current with fiber optic technology advancements.

This role supports the expansion and maintenance of utility-scale solar and battery storage infrastructure, contributing to the transition to renewable energy and a more sustainable power grid.

• 2+ years of experience in Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing.
• Experience fusion splicing and mechanical connector terminating, including outside plant direct buried fiber and armored/non-armored loose tube fiber.
• Ability to splice multi-counts up to 96 strand and terminate mechanical connectors on indoor/outdoor tight buffered fiber.
• Experience using OTDRs (Fluke Versiv and EXFO a plus) and working with Preformed Line Products, AFL, and Corning splicing materials.

Compensation: $28.32 - $35.40 per hour (hourly pay). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.
