Fermentation Process Development Internship

• Run continuous fermentations for protein production.
• Optimize operational parameters to maximize productivity and yield using online sensor measurements and offline analyses.
• Investigate relationships between operational conditions, dry matter composition, and biochemical formation.
• Calculate mass balances and fermentation performance parameters (yield, productivities, dry cell weight).

This role contributes to decoupling protein production from agricultural land and creating an era of food abundance for humanity by advancing fermentation technology for sustainable protein ingredients.

• Current Master's or PhD student in biological engineering, biotechnology, biochemical engineering or related areas.
• Experience working in a microbiology lab with aseptic handling and analyses.
• Hands-on experience with bioreactors, ideally independent bioreactor experience.
• Autonomy, self-starting capabilities, team player skills with excellent English proficiency.
