Fellow/Senior Policy Advisor: Public Report on Secondary Education

Core responsibilities:

• Play a leadership role in shaping the revised research design for a study across ten representative states on secondary education
• Oversee fieldwork and coordinate implementation across two to three states
• Work closely with state-level team leaders and engage with state government officials to secure necessary approvals prior to fieldwork

This role contributes to rigorous, policy-relevant mixed-methods research critical in understanding India's challenges in securing the demographic dividend from the youth bulge, with findings made freely available to the public to inform education policy.

Required qualifications:

• PhD (or equivalent professional experience) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in field-based education research
• At least one book or peer-reviewed journal publication
• International research exposure
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex workflows including stakeholder consultations, roundtables, and interviews
• Proven capacity to handle team communications with professionalism and clarity
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment

The remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The appointment will be for a period of 18-24 months, depending on project completion.
