Expert Advisory Services Manager

Primary responsibilities include:

• Build productive client relationships and manage client engagements, including designing workshops/training, supporting disaster strategies, authoring reports, and conducting consultations on disaster response and recovery best practices.
• Manage pipelines of consulting clients in collaboration with the Director of Advisory Services, engage in business development, and coordinate with team members to develop scopes of work and budgets.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advisory Services and EAS team to refine and deliver the EAS strategy, build capacity, and oversee a cadre of expert consultants (CDPCorps).
• Represent CDP to the public, community leaders, and colleagues in philanthropy, and work cross-functionally with teams like marketing, development, and research to ensure effective collaboration on EAS contracts.

This role creates positive change by helping communities minimize the impact of disasters through strategic, equitable philanthropy, supporting recovery and addressing root causes of vulnerabilities worldwide.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Roughly 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in disaster or emergency management, humanitarian crises, consulting, and/or philanthropic advising.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-level, complex programs, work independently, and make decisions with considerable latitude.
• Experience in development and management of scopes of work, projects, and budgets, with domestic or international disaster response, recovery, mitigation, and/or resilience experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Salary Range: $73,000 - $82,150 USD. The organization is a fully remote workforce that prioritizes employee engagement and relationship building in a collaborative culture rooted in equity, with in-person team retreats scheduled throughout the year.
