Mission
What you will drive
Primary responsibilities include:
- Project management and delivery: Build productive client relationships, manage client engagements, design and facilitate workshops/training, support crafting clients' disaster strategies, author monthly disaster update emails and consulting reports, hold regular project management meetings, and conduct consultations on disaster response and recovery best practices.
- Cross-functional business development: Manage pipelines of consulting clients, engage in business development including meeting with potential clients, conducting needs assessments, and coordinating to develop tailored scopes of work and budgets.
- Strategic operations and delivery: Collaborate to refine and deliver the Expert Advisory Services strategy, translate nebulous needs into client deliverables, build, train and oversee a cadre of expert consultants (CDPCorps), and collaborate cross-functionally to develop standardized training.
- Other duties: Represent CDP to the public and stakeholders, coordinate with various teams to identify education needs, support knowledge mobilization, ensure effective collaboration on contracts and deliverables, and serve on committees and task forces.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications and skills:
- Roughly 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in disaster or emergency management, humanitarian crises, consulting, and/or philanthropic advising.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-level, complex programs and work independently with considerable latitude.
- Experience in development and management of scopes of work, projects, and budgets, with domestic or international disaster response, recovery, mitigation, and/or resilience experience.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem-solving, ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
