Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide operational oversight and support the Board/Committees with agendas, policy drafting, and governance best practices
  • Lead the planning and execution of major events (Annual Conference, Holiday Auction) including contract negotiation, vendor management, and budgeting
  • Secure corporate sponsorships and lead donor stewardship and auction initiatives
  • Partner with the Legislative Committee to draft position papers and monitor judicial/legislative developments affecting the criminal defense bar
  • Oversee CLE programs, member listservs, and digital communications (newsletters/website)

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Deep commitment to criminal defense/due process
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for events
  • Strong fiscal management, contract negotiation, and excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Experience in nonprofit management, event planning, and board governance (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AMS databases, Zoom, and Asana (preferred)
