Executive Director

• Lead the organization through transition and growth, setting strategic direction and building systems, processes, and team culture.
• Drive revenue and financial health through diversified fundraising, carbon sales, and partnerships.
• Build relationships with landowners, funders, corporate partners, and public agencies as the primary external representative.
• Oversee programs and operations to ensure quality, integrity, and mission alignment.

This role directly advances environmental restoration, economic opportunity, and community resilience in Appalachia by leading an organization that improves forest health, sequesters carbon, and creates diversified economic opportunities in a region historically dependent on extractive industries.

• Proven nonprofit leadership experience, particularly in growth or transition phases.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising and revenue development.
• Strong financial and operational acumen.
• Background in natural resource management or similar field.
