Executive Director, American Discovery Trail Society

• Expand annual fundraising by developing new sources of revenue from programs, foundations, corporations, individual donors, and government sources.
• Translate relay publicity and participants into financial support.
• Recruit more volunteers and board members; expand programs; develop partnerships to increase community awareness of the trail.
• Network with other trails organizations; provide information to the public; publicize the trail via social media and other means.

This role directly supports the development of a national coast-to-coast nonmotorized trail, promoting outdoor recreation, conservation, and community engagement across the United States.

• Keen interest in hiking, trails, and the outdoors.
• Experience in fundraising and revenue development.
• Ability to work with volunteers and a board of directors.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
