Environmental & Sustainability Advisor

• Support the delivery of the Environmental & Sustainability strategy and action plans, ensuring alignment with HSE strategy.
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems, policies, and procedures (aligned to ISO 14001).
• Monitor compliance with environmental legislation, collect and analyze environmental performance data (carbon scope 1,2,3, waste, packaging, WEEE), and support external reporting.
• Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and enhance sustainability performance.

This role directly contributes to Centrica's goal of creating an energy system that doesn't rely on fossil fuels, driving effective implementation of sustainability strategies and reducing environmental impact across operations.

• Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (or working towards) such as Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP).
• Experience in an environmental or sustainability role within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements; experience supporting environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
