Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage Plus Power's Geographic Information System (GIS) platform, including data standardization, loading project site data, and supporting other users with analysis and map preparation
  • Execute permitting strategies and support environmental permitting processes for multiple battery energy storage projects across various states, from conception through development
  • Research federal, state, and local land use and environmental regulations, draft permitting analyses, and support preparation and submission of permit applications to governmental agencies
  • Support negotiations with regulatory agencies, represent projects at public forums and stakeholder meetings, and prepare responses to agency information requests

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, engineering, or environmental areas (advanced degree preferred) with 2-4 years of experience obtaining permitting/siting/zoning/land use/environmental approvals for large-scale development
  • Detailed understanding of federal, state, and local permitting and environmental regulatory statutes across multiple states, preferably with experience in utility, renewable energy, or industrial sectors
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in GIS software and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel)
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams
