Environmental Compliance Specialist

• Primary environmental compliance lead for assigned Electra locations, managing compliance with EPA, DOT, and other regulations.
• Secure and renew environmental operating permits (Air, Water, etc.) and complete required annual environmental reports.
• Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and training programs for a chemical and heavy industrial environment.
• Lead environmental incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.

This role ensures Electra's ironmaking operations comply with environmental regulations, minimizing pollution and promoting sustainable industrial practices, directly contributing to climate change mitigation.

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience in mining, manufacturing, chemical industry, or similar environment.
• Proven experience developing and implementing environmental programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling and pollution control.

Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year. Benefits include 100% paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance; $1,800 annual employer HSA contributions; 12 weeks paid parental leave; 401k with up to 5% matching (100% vesting day one); eligibility for incentive stock options.
