Energy Potential Study Senior Consultant

Core responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on projects involving modeling and analysis to assess demand side management potentials and integrated resource planning
• Lead consulting projects from start to finish including designing quantitative analysis, managing project teams, tracking progress, and creating reports
• Conduct research and analysis activities, synthesize findings, and derive insights relevant to client objectives
• Develop detailed reports and presentations with clear, actionable recommendations for clients

This role helps energy companies, utilities, governments, and non-profit organizations make informed decisions about energy efficiency and resource planning, contributing to decarbonization and strengthening society and the natural world through transformative solutions.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/environmental engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, or environmental studies
• 8-10 years of experience managing research or planning projects with qualitative and quantitative techniques
• Minimum 1 year leading or supporting demand-side management potential studies for U.S.-based utilities
• Industry experience working with utilities in energy efficiency, demand response, solar PV, battery storage, decarbonization, and electric vehicles
• Excellent project management skills including budget management, team leadership, and client interaction
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
