Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Drive outbreak preparedness and response activities across the organization and with global partners by nurturing a proactive "response mindset" in colleagues and coaching project teams
- Establish and lead a R&D response team in the event of an outbreak of one of CEPI's core pathogens
- Support a CEPI-wide readiness exercise program to systematically test technical, operational, and policy elements of vaccine research-focused outbreak responses
- Serve as the Preparedness & Response representative on matrixed project teams, providing expertise on preparedness planning and emergency response

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Advanced degree (masters or PhD level) in a public health related discipline coupled with extensive experience from this field
- Deep understanding of the role of vaccine research and development in outbreak response and of incident management system principles
- At least 5 years of experience in public health/outbreak response field
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
