Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities include:
- Teach ACES' K-4/5 environmental education classes in partner schools, developing and revising lesson plans aligned with science standards
- Lead environmental science field programs at various sites throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and Garfield County, safely managing students in diverse environments
- Teach children's day and weeklong camps during school breaks, developing curriculum and managing youth in outdoor settings
- Assist with visitor center maintenance, animal management, and perform hosting responsibilities including guest engagement and informal education

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in natural sciences, environmental education, agriculture education, or related field
- Minimum of two years' teaching experience in a classroom or outdoor setting, elementary grade level preferred
- Experience with curriculum writing and development of educational teaching materials
- Knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards, strong organizational skills, and outstanding written/verbal communication
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (WFR or WFA preferred), demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
