Economic Affairs Intern

Core responsibilities for the Economic Affairs Intern include:

• Supporting economic research and analysis on trade facilitation and policy issues in the Asia-Pacific region
• Assisting with data collection, processing, and visualization for economic development projects
• Contributing to the preparation of reports, briefs, and presentations on economic affairs
• Participating in meetings and workshops related to economic development and trade policy

This role contributes to ESCAP's mission of promoting sustainable economic development and regional cooperation in Asia and the Pacific, helping to reduce poverty and improve living standards through evidence-based policy support.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university degree program in economics, international development, or related field
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
