What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct research with strong emphasis on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Least Developed Countries, economic and social development
  • Conduct country-specific research on country experiences related to LDC graduation, macroeconomic, and environmental policy issues
  • Provide assistance on meeting organization, communication and dissemination of the work of the Development Policy Branch

This role contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by supporting research and policy analysis on global macroeconomic trends, frontier issues, and issues affecting Least Developed Countries, helping to bridge global policies with national action for sustainable development.

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) OR be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Field of study closely related to the type of internship is required
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage
