Early Career - Policy Principal - Wholesale Electricity Markets - MISO/SPP

• Develop and execute strategies and campaigns to accelerate clean energy deployment in the MISO and SPP regions.
• Draft comments, reports, presentations, and other advocacy materials to support wholesale electricity market reforms.
• Monitor and analyze MISO and SPP wholesale market reform efforts, providing intelligence to members and policymakers.
• Build and maintain relationships with United staff, members, partners, regulators, and market participants.

This role directly supports the transition to 100% clean energy by advocating for wholesale electricity market reforms that enable the growth of advanced energy technologies and the retirement of fossil fuel generation.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree is a plus.
• 4-6 years of professional experience, with some in policy analysis, advocacy, or market analysis; experience with MISO, SPP, or other competitive wholesale electricity markets strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including public speaking.
• Self-starter comfortable working remotely and collaborating with colleagues.

Salary starting at $75,000 per year.
