TITLE: Donor Relations Associate DIVISION: Development LOCATION: Remote, with Washington, D.C. office available The Joe and Jill Biden Presidential Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to support the establishment of the Biden Presidential Center in Delaware. The Joe and Jill Biden Presidential Library Foundation will advance the enduring values of public service, empathy, and integrity that have defined President Biden and Dr. Biden’s lives, and serve as a living institution dedicated to education, public policy, and civic engagement. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Donor Relations Associate will focus on supporting and implementing a comprehensive donor relations program. This position will report to the Senior Director of Development and will work collaboratively across the Development team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support that enhances the donor experience at different established giving levels, including helping to facilitate meaningful and personalized donor experiences, writing impact and stewardship reports and donor correspondence, and supporting the preparation of donor proposals. Manage the timely process of gift acknowledgements, pledge reminders, thank you notes, and other planned stewardship touchpoints, as well as ensuring distribution by appropriate team members or organization leaders. Work closely with Development and Communications teams to generate materials that consistently represent the Presidential Center’s voice and message. Providing regular communications to the Development team on donor milestones to ensure the team maintains updated presentation materials and email content. Work collaboratively across the Development team to ensure individual stewardship is customized and tailored. Serve as the lead on developing, managing, and executing stewardship programs for all donors. Establish and execute a donor communications plan to deliver key updates updates and and developments at the Foundation to donors and prospects on a regular schedule. Ensure all donor-facing materials align with Foundation communications standards and that materials complement and elevate donor stewardship. Manage the acknowledgement process, ensuring gifts are acknowledged by the appropriate individual(s) in a timely manner and recorded in the Foundation’s database. Work with Development team to continuously assess and adjust stewardship strategy as necessary to exceed donor expectations. QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience: Experience drafting clear and concise written communications. Experience balancing multiple projects and deadlines. Two to three years of development and fundraising experience preferred. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills. Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a start-up environment to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Ability to manage highly sensitive, confidential information using excellent judgment and discretion at all times. Proficiency with Salesforce database management software or other customer-relations management (CRM) software preferred. COMPENSATION: Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000. The Foundation provides medical, dental, and vision coverage with 100% of monthly premiums covered by the Foundation for employees, and 80% of monthly premiums for spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children. All employees are eligible for 15 days of paid time off plus paid holiday and 15 days of paid sick leave. The Foundation offers employees a 401k retirement plan with a safe harbor matching contribution up to 5% of salary. The Foundation offers Foundation-paid life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance to employees. All roles offer flexibility with remote and hybrid work options.
