Distribution Design Engineer I

Core responsibilities:

• Create distribution design sketches and supporting documents per client guidelines and standards
• Review, approve and stamp distribution designs and drawings
• Mentor and train new distribution designers
• Perform engineering calculations to determine design feasibility and provide cost estimates

This role contributes to designing the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence, helping build a modern, secure, and resilient energy grid that transforms the future of energy and impacts communities and the environment.

Required qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university/college (preferably Electrical Engineering)
• Experience with electrical power calculations and familiarity with NESC and NEC standards
• CAD experience (AUTOCAD/MicroStation or similar) and experience with ESRI ARC GIS or AUD/AutoCAD
• Experience with Utility Work Management Systems (WMIS, Dynamo, SAP) and Utility Design/Construction Standards
