Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage volunteers in Climate Defiance chapters across key U.S. cities
  • Establish new Climate Defiance chapters and provide ongoing coaching to volunteers and leaders
  • Organize and coordinate direct actions in multiple cities, including nonviolent protests and disruptive actions
  • Travel to cities for site visits and actions (25% travel expected) and handle administrative tracking of volunteer activities

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of organizing or campaigning experience with volunteer team management
  • Experience participating in or leading nonviolent direct actions (protests, strikes, sit-ins, blockades)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as a self-starter
  • Flexibility for travel and readiness for actions and site visits
