Distributed Energy Resources Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct and lead technical research, data collection, and analysis across renewable energy, battery storage, electric vehicle, virtual power plant, and demand response projects
• Serve as a technical advisor and project manager working directly with clients and program applicants
• Provide excellent project management, customer engagement, and communications services
• Support business development by contributing to and leading proposal efforts

This role helps clients address grid constraints while achieving aggressive decarbonization goals, contributing to decarbonization, grid modernization, and building and transportation electrification efforts that strengthen society and the natural world.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
• 8-10 years of professional work experience in the energy field (master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years)
• Demonstrated experience in renewable energy, battery storage, EVs, demand response, VPPs, and grid modernization concepts
• Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
