Director/Sr Director, Development - East

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and drive the development of large-scale power and AI data center projects from initial project siting/acquisition through permitting, design, interconnection approvals, contracting, financing and handover to construction
• Lead SB Energy's market development and business strategy in the East region, identifying and originating GW-scale power and AI data center project opportunities
• Oversee project pro-forma models and support negotiation of critical project agreements including land leases, power purchase agreements, utility energy supply agreements, and equipment procurement agreements
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, providing leadership and direction to development team managers and cross-functional project teams

This role accelerates the energy transition to cleaner, more sustainable sources of power by developing large-scale renewable energy and AI data center infrastructure projects that provide reliable, affordable energy at scale to support America's growing energy demands.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum 8 years of project development experience in large-scale infrastructure with at least 12+ years of professional experience
• Experience originating and developing large-scale data center projects with proven track record of successfully getting projects to NTP
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, governmental rules, market trends, project grid interconnection, and data center requirements including fiber and water

Compensation and benefits:

• Base pay range: $190,000-$220,000 annually
