Director, Product Management – Data Platform

• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and execution for Uplight's Data Platform, which serves as the backbone of applications and machine learning efforts.
• Ensure the platform scales with technical excellence and maximizes customer value from data in every form, including enabling business intelligence, developer platforms, and future data-driven products.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and go-to-market teams to define investment priorities, quantify value, and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Manage and grow a global product team, fostering collaboration and excellence across US and India-based teams.

This role directly contributes to Uplight's mission of decarbonization and building a more sustainable future by enabling clean energy capacity through data platform management, which helps balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable, and accelerates the transition to clean energy.

• 10+ years of Product Management experience, with 5+ years leading product managers at group or director-level.
• Hands-on technical background or experience in engineering/data roles, with proven experience in data platforms, ingestion systems, BI/analytics/machine learning, governance, ML Ops, and developer tools.
• Track record of launching and scaling customer-facing data products, not just infrastructure, with experience in high-growth environments, ideally within energy, data, or SaaS technology sectors.
• Inspiring leader with strong communication skills, able to influence across functions and at all levels, and a systems thinker who can simplify complexity and create clarity of vision.

• Salary Range: $175,000 to $207,000 + Bonus
