at me too. International

🏢 About me too. International

me too. International is a survivor-led organization at the forefront of the global movement to end sexual and gender-based violence, grounded in Black feminist principles. As a convener and thought leader, it uniquely combines advocacy, community organizing, and healing justice. Working here means contributing to a mission that is both deeply personal and globally impactful.

About This Role

This role is the operational and financial backbone of the organization, overseeing strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, and HR across global entities. You will partner directly with the CEO and Board to ensure the organization's infrastructure supports its ambitious mission. Your work will empower survivors and activists by creating stable, transparent systems that enable the movement to thrive.

💡 A Day in the Life

A typical day might start with a check-in with the CEO to discuss strategic priorities, followed by reviewing monthly financial reports and ensuring compliance deadlines are met. You might then lead a virtual team meeting to improve workflow processes, and later meet with a grant partner to discuss reporting requirements. The afternoon could involve analyzing budget variances and preparing for an upcoming Board meeting.

🎯 Who me too. International Is Looking For

  • A seasoned nonprofit finance leader with 8–12+ years of experience, including audit, grants management, and multi-entity compliance.
  • Someone who thrives in a remote, mission-driven environment and can build operational systems from the ground up.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and modern ops tooling, with a track record of improving workflows and vendor management.
  • A strategic thought partner who aligns with Black feminist principles and can navigate the complexities of a global, survivor-led organization.

📝 Tips for Applying to me too. International

1

In your resume, highlight specific examples of multi-entity financial oversight, such as managing budgets across different states or countries.

2

Tailor your cover letter to explicitly mention your experience with grants management and compliance, as this is critical for a nonprofit fighting SGBV.

3

Demonstrate familiarity with me too. International's current campaigns and recent reports—reference their 2023 impact report or a specific initiative.

4

If you have experience with remote team building or HR policies for distributed teams, emphasize it, as the role oversees HR functions.

5

Avoid generic language about 'passion for the mission'—instead, connect your personal or professional background to the movement to end sexual violence.

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

['Your specific experience with nonprofit finance, especially audit and grants management for multi-entity organizations.', 'Your understanding of and commitment to Black feminist principles and survivor-led approaches.', 'Examples of how you have improved operational efficiency or built scalable systems in a previous role.', 'Your ability to serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, including experience working with a Board of Directors.']
