Director of Operations / Chief Operating Officer

Core responsibilities:

• Help build a global community of people working on solving the world's most pressing problems
• Support CEA's programs including conferences, local groups, and online resources for the effective altruism community
• Collaborate with a team that values purpose-driven work, collective growth, continuous improvement, and alliance mentality
• Contribute to nurturing future leaders and thinkers guided by altruistic, truth-seeking principles

This role creates positive change by building a global community focused on solving the world's most pressing problems and nurturing future leaders guided by altruistic, truth-seeking principles.

Required skills, experience, qualifications:

• Experience in operations management or similar leadership roles (implied by Director/COO title)
• Ability to support diverse programs including conferences, local groups, and online resources
• Collaborative mindset with team-oriented approach
• Alignment with effective altruism principles and values

Work flexibly with options to be remote or join the Oxford hub office alongside aligned organizations.
