Director of Marketing

Core responsibilities:

• Define and own the overall marketing vision and strategy aligned to company growth goals, leading and developing a high-performing, multidisciplinary marketing team
• Drive demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth across B2C and B2E channels, owning and optimizing the full growth funnel
• Clarify and evolve Octopus Electric Vehicles' brand positioning, messaging, and narrative across consumer and employer audiences
• Own product and proposition messaging, translating complex EV, finance, and energy propositions into simple, compelling value stories

This role directly impacts accelerating the transition to electric vehicles by building a world-class marketing function that drives customer acquisition and strengthens the brand as the UK's most trusted electric vehicle partner.

Required qualifications:

• Experience as a Director of Marketing in a high-growth scale-up or challenger brand with proven track record of driving measurable commercial growth
• Strong experience in brand strategy, including positioning and messaging, with proven track record of building a differentiated brand story
• Experience building or scaling marketing teams and functions with strong understanding of digital, performance, lifecycle, and customer-led marketing
• Strategic thinker with ability to execute at pace, highly commercial, data-literate, and outcome-focused with excellent stakeholder management skills
