Director of Marketing

• Lead and execute a unified marketing strategy that translates complex mission and impact stories into accessible, emotionally resonant narratives suitable for each channel.
• Manage internal and external creative team members to execute a data-driven, unified content strategy across marketing channels.
• Define and build a dashboard to track KPIs for marketing effectiveness and apply A/B testing and predictive analytics to guide creative and channel investment decisions.
• Champion experimentation with motion graphics, interactive storytelling, user-generated content, and new media formats while integrating AI and emerging technologies into creative workflows.

This role creates positive change by elevating awareness of the power of state legislatures and DLCC, deepening engagement and stakeholder trust in their work and impact, and driving sustainable fundraising growth to help win Democratic majorities and build Democratic power in state legislatures.

• 8–12+ years of progressive marketing or brand strategy experience with at least 2 years in a management role (nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven sectors preferred).
• Proven success in managing a multi-channel marketing and creative team and contractors with experience managing marketing budgets.
• Ability to design and manage dashboards using multiple data sources to analyze trends and donor journeys, translating complex data into integrated marketing plans with measurable ROI.
• Demonstrated content creation skills, editorial judgment, visual storytelling instincts, and project management discipline with strong understanding of digital content production and emerging AI tools.

The salary range for the Director of Marketing position is $130,000 - $145,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
