Mission

What you will drive

  • Manage codification and creation of legal guidance and trainings for The States Project, including developing user-friendly materials on campaign finance, nonprofit tax, ethics, and lobbying laws.
  • Day-to-day management and resolution of legal questions, including evaluating campaign finance issues, programmatic materials for compliance, and reviewing contracts.
  • Manage internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, analyze risks, and propose improvements.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Juris Doctorate degree and current bar admission in good standing.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with campaign finance and state gift and ethics laws.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative approach and ability to make legal guidance understandable to non-lawyers.
  • Proven project management, research, and problem-solving skills.
