Director of Individual Giving (candidates can be based anywhere in the US)

• Develop and lead plans to build the individual donor program, emphasizing four and five-figure gifts.
• Manage a portfolio of 75+ current and prospective donors through in-person, phone, video, and email updates.
• Identify new donors through events, database of activists, and other avenues.
• Manage a development team member and support the Executive Director's fundraising efforts.

This role directly builds the financial capacity of Climate Defiance, enabling the organization to escalate its nonviolent direct action and strategic communications to hold decision-makers accountable and accelerate the end of fossil fuels.

• At least five years of experience in development and individual giving programs, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
• Proven success in managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors and securing five-figure gifts.
• Experience scaling up a major donor program and identifying high-capacity prospects.
• Results-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable with frequent travel (35-50%).

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Benefits include unlimited vacation time (20 days plus Christmas week encouraged), group health care, and a 401(k) with a 7% employer contribution.
