Director of Family Education and Engagement

Core responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison to parents, caregivers, and family communities, maintaining active communications and fostering deeper engagement
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, rare disease foundations, and community groups
• Develop and implement multi-platform engagement strategies across in-person events, online communities, social media, webinars, and virtual forums
• Monitor engagement metrics and gather community feedback to continuously improve CPN's resources and programming effectiveness

This role creates positive change by serving as the bridge between CPN and the families they serve, ensuring resources, programs, and advocacy efforts truly meet families' needs and amplify their voices, ultimately supporting families caring for children with serious, rare, and medically complex conditions.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Lived experience with pediatric serious illness, rare disease, or palliative care strongly preferred
• Exceptional relationship building skills with demonstrated cultural humility, emotional intelligence, and ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds
• Outstanding communication abilities including public speaking, empathetic listening, and clear written expression across multiple formats and platforms
• Proven project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and supervise others
