Director of Development - The POGIL Project - (Part-time, Hybrid or Remote)

• Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies to increase donor participation, retention, and overall giving.
• Lead annual pledge campaigns, Lancaster ExtraGive, year-end appeals, and other annual giving initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors capable of making leadership-level and major gifts.
• Build and manage a portfolio of donor relationships and partner with Board members and staff to develop cultivation strategies.

This role directly strengthens the financial sustainability of The POGIL Project, enabling the organization to continue transforming teaching and learning through student-centered inquiry-based methods, thereby improving educational outcomes for students nationwide.

• Experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, nonprofit management, communications, or related fields.
• Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build authentic relationships with donors, volunteers, educators, and community partners.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; experience with donor databases or CRM systems (Bloomerang preferred).

Part-time position (15-20 hours per week); SEP IRA retirement plan; hybrid or remote work flexibility; collegial and flexible small nonprofit environment.
