Director of Development

• Lead all fundraising and development activities to support SCF's $2,000,000 annual budget through major gifts, grants, special events, and corporate/foundation support.
• Design and implement a comprehensive development strategy to expand and diversify the donor base and cultivate long-term relationships.
• Partner with the Executive Director, Board Chair, and COO to build visibility, impact, and financial resources.

This role directly enables Southeast Community Foundation to provide high-impact tutoring to students in Los Angeles, closing achievement gaps and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

• 5+ years of professional experience in nonprofit development with a proven track record of expanding donor relationships.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence and engage diverse donors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Bachelor's degree required; high energy and passion for SCF's mission.

Contract position initially with possibility of becoming full-time. TB clearance and background check covered by SCF. Flexible hours and travel required.
