Jury Democracy USA is seeking a Director of Development to lead its fundraising efforts and support the organizationโ€™s growth. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing donor relationships, and building the systems necessary to sustain long-term revenue. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a fundraising strategy across major donors, grassroots fundraising, and digital channels Build and manage a donor pipeline, including prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship Establish and maintain systems for tracking donor activity, revenue, and performance Prepare donor materials, including briefing documents and fundraising decks Design and manage mail, email, digital, and online fundraising campaigns Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities, including partnerships and institutional support Ensure compliance with applicable 501(c)(4) fundraising regulations Qualifications 3โ€“7+ years of experience in fundraising, political finance, or nonprofit development Demonstrated success raising funds through major donor programs, grassroots efforts, or both Experience managing donor pipelines and fundraising systems (CRM, tracking, reporting) Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and able to work independently in a developing organizational environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with 501(c)(4) organizations, advocacy groups, or political campaigns Familiarity with tools such as NGP VAN, ActBlue, or similar platforms and more importantly with non-partisan platforms. Experience with grant writing or institutional fundraising Compensation Competitive and commensurate with experience and with bonuses for performance. Structure (salary or contract) will be determined based on candidate fit.
