Director of Development

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic growth of ARC's philanthropic revenue through major gift fundraising and donor lifecycle management
• Manage an active portfolio of 75+ major donor prospects and serve as lead strategist for CEO's portfolio of 25+ top-tier prospects
• Oversee development operations including Salesforce/CRM management, annual giving campaigns, and donor intelligence
• Build and manage a Board Development Working Group and lead institutional/foundation growth strategies

This role creates positive change by securing philanthropic funding that accelerates research and improves care for amyloidosis patients, directly supporting ARC's mission to advance science and extend lives through innovative collaborations.

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of fundraising experience in major gifts and foundation relations (disease-specific nonprofit experience preferred)
• Proficient knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems for pipeline management
• Proven ability to manage staff and work effectively with high-level volunteers and C-suite executives
• Superior writing and presentation skills to translate complex scientific research into philanthropic narratives

Comprehensive Benefits Package:

• Salary range: $125,000 - $135,000 USD per year
