Director of Data

• Drive differentiation and platform value by partnering with Product on data strategy, equipping Operations with intelligence, and developing commercial value of data.
• Power better decisions across the business by defining marketplace liquidity metrics, strengthening data and AI/ML usage, and partnering with leadership.
• Build the team and foundations by recruiting, developing, and leading a data team, and ensuring data quality and accessibility.

This role helps reduce waste and expand consumer access to affordable essentials by unlocking value in surplus inventory, creating savings for consumers and recovering value for brands.

• 7-10+ years in analytics or data science, with 3+ years leading data teams at a high-growth B2B SaaS, marketplace, or data products company.
• Direct experience with CPG and/or retail data, including metrics suppliers and buyers use.
• Hands-on comfort with SQL and the modern data stack; expertise in dbt, SQL, semantic modeling, data visualization, python, pandas, jupyter notebooks, and LLMs.
• Track record of shipping customer-facing data products that drive measurable value, and commercial instinct for data-driven business value.
