Job Summary

We are seeking a Director, Human Centered Weather Forecasts to lead our efforts in developing and delivering weather forecasts that are centered around the needs of our users. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of innovators and thought leaders in the field of weather forecasting and make a meaningful impact on the way people experience and interact with weather information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of human-centered weather forecasts that meet the needs of our users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and products that meet user needs
• Conduct user research to understand user needs and preferences
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including users, partners, and internal teams
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in weather forecasting and user experience design

About the Role

• This is a full-time position based in Boulder, CO
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, human-centered design, and/or weather forecasting
• The candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• The candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality products and services that meet user needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in user experience design, human-centered design, and/or weather forecasting
• Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in user experience design and human-centered design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for delivering high-quality products and services that meet user needs

Qualifications

• Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with front-end development and programming languages such as JavaScript and HTML/CSS
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
