Director, Grid Integration

Core responsibilities:

• Lead market and interconnection strategy, including energy market analysis with focus on ERCOT rules and Texas legislation, manage large load interconnection processes with TDSPs, and represent the company at stakeholder meetings.
• Support project development and execution by managing databases for renewable assets and grid data, supporting project modeling with interconnection costs, and establishing critical requirements through stakeholder assessments.
• Report on and resolve issues blocking project progress, particularly related to interconnection queues and market rule compliance, and review equipment specifications for compliance.
• Support term sheet negotiation, curtailment and congestion risk assessment, and project management to drive PPAs to close, while providing feedback to optimize interconnection efficiency.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in project development for energy and data center infrastructure, with a proven track record in TDSP interconnection processes and ERCOT market rules.
• Experience leading multiple projects with exemplary execution and working in high-performing teams within scaling organizations.
• Entrepreneurial sensibilities with a driving work style, comfortable in fast-paced environments and willing to roll up sleeves for strategic priorities.
• Education or degree in Management or Engineering, with proficiency in market analysis, interconnection strategy, and de-risking projects simultaneously.
