Director, Community Health Systems Strengthening

Core responsibilities:

• Oversight and coordination of the m-mama emergency transport system in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Vodafone Foundation
• Build and sustain the integrated Community Health Information System (iCHIS) and upskill integration to enable remote communities to access care
• Collaborate with LMH Program Teams for effective program delivery and quality
• Program management and country level coordination including budget tracking and stakeholder engagement

This role strengthens community health systems in Malawi by improving emergency transport for women and newborns, enhancing digital health information systems, and building capacity of community health workers, ultimately enabling remote communities to access quality healthcare.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Master's in Public Health, Computer Science, Health Informatics or related field preferred)
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, preferably IT-oriented, with project management and staff supervision experience
• Experience in digital health, health system design, information systems and upskilling of community health workers
• Experience working with governments and supporting high-level officials in policy management
• Experience designing and implementing Digital Health or ICT4D systems in field settings
• Strong understanding of Computer Science essentials and IT system architecture
• Experience establishing new national-level programs in complex environments
• Project management experience with workplan and budget management proficiency
