Director, Clinical Development

Core responsibilities:

• Establish, maintain, and revise the overall strategy for the clinical development functional area within CEPI R&D
• Oversee and manage the tactical implementation of the clinical development plan, including maintaining relationships with contract research organizations, implementing partners, and investigative sites
• Manage clinical development plans of outsourced work from feasibility assessment to project completion, ensuring compliance with SOPs, regulatory regulations, and ICH GCP guidelines
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team with accountability for performance and resource management

This role creates positive change by accelerating the development of vaccines against epidemic and pandemic threats, contributing to CEPI's goal of reducing or eliminating future pandemic risks and making vaccines accessible to all people in need.

Required qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with extensive experience in clinical development, clinical trials, and clinical study plan design in a global setting
• Internationally recognized clinical expert with demonstrated history of productive engagements with external partners and investigators
• Demonstrated personnel leadership and management skills at a senior management level
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, international, multidisciplinary environment and adapt successfully in ambiguous and changing ecosystems
