Director, Carbon Program Implementation

Core responsibilities:

• Lead high-integrity project design and registration for agricultural soil carbon projects under voluntary carbon standards
• Ensure methodological rigor across Perennial's systems, products, and growth strategy
• Shape Perennial's leadership in the voluntary carbon market through registry engagement and industry representation

This role helps unlock soil as one of the world's largest carbon sinks by building trusted verification standards and technologies for climate-smart agriculture, directly contributing to decarbonizing the food supply chain.

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in carbon project development, methodologies, or standards
• Direct experience leading registration of agricultural soil carbon projects in voluntary carbon markets
• Expertise with VCS ALM methodologies (VM0042, VM0032) and ability to translate requirements into implementation strategies
• Strong working knowledge of registry rules, eligibility requirements, and core project components
