Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Writing email, website, advertising, and social media copy to achieve direct response campaign objectives including direct donations, engagement, list growth, and cultivation
  • Working with client teams to develop and maintain compelling, authentic voice for world-changing nonprofit leaders, Democratic elected officials and political challengers
  • Collaborating with client teams to understand and address client goals, messaging, strategy, and feedback on all copy
  • Participating in internal meetings, as necessary

Required qualifications:

  • A predisposition toward out-of-the-box thinking and bold ideas
  • Experience writing speeches, editorials, or emails in someone else's voice
  • Comfort receiving feedback and addressing both written and live edits
  • A mind for both finding the right words and explaining the thinking behind them
  • Passion for making our world a better place

Preferred qualifications:

  • Background in political campaigns, on the Hill or with a nonprofit is preferred
  • Familiarity with email marketing and current best practices is ideal

Benefits

What's in it for you

Minimum pay rate for this role is $25/hour and increases depending on experience up to $40/hour. Freelance roles are 1099/Independent Contractors and not eligible for employee benefits.
