Development Officer

Core responsibilities:

• Lead operational execution of Healthy Humor's $1.5M fundraising strategy across seven revenue workstreams: 10th Anniversary Gala, Institutional Grants, Major Donors & Corporate Giving, Running of the Noses peer-to-peer charity race, Annual Fund & Digital, plus Infrastructure and Asset Creation
• Manage all aspects of institutional grant writing including research, writing, budget narratives, evaluation frameworks, and foundation relationship stewardship
• Execute campaign management for major fundraising events including the 10th Anniversary Gala and Running of the Noses peer-to-peer campaign
• Build and maintain fundraising infrastructure including CRM management, donor pipeline tracking, reporting dashboards, and donor stewardship systems

This role directly enables Healthy Humor to expand its therapeutic arts programs for hospitalized children by securing $1.3-1.5M in critical funding during the organization's 10th anniversary year, ensuring more children receive joy and healing through humor during difficult medical treatments.

Required qualifications:

• 5-7 years of progressive fundraising experience with proven track record of securing $500K+ in foundation funding annually and writing 12+ grant proposals per year
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage 5-7 active workstreams simultaneously and hit revenue targets across multiple channels
• CRM proficiency (Bloomerang, Salesforce, DonorPerfect or similar) with experience building donor pipelines, tracking systems, and reporting dashboards
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills to translate clinical impact into compelling narratives for proposals and donor materials

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience
