Development Officer

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed programmatic annual and long-term fundraising goals.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-net-worth individuals and pursue grant opportunities from private foundations and corporate entities.
• Coordinate donor communications, recognition efforts, and stewardship activities to build long-term engagement.
• Track fundraising progress, maintain donor records in CRM, and help develop program budgets.

This role directly supports bird conservation by securing private funding for programs focused on bird-friendly forestry and habitat conservation, benefiting bird species, human communities, and the planet's climate.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ experience in major gifts and foundation fundraising.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills, particularly for grant proposals and donor updates.
• Proficiency with Excel and CRMs (EveryAction preferred).
• Ability to travel and work occasional nights/weekends for donor meetings and events.
