Development Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Manage fundraising activities including grant proposal writing, donor stewardship, and cultivation of sponsorship and new fundraising opportunities
• Ensure robust and diverse financial stability for the organization through database management, donor appreciation, and tracking
• Support organizational advancement by promoting visibility and connection to community, members, supporters, and stakeholders
• Work with the Executive Director, Programs Director, and Board to develop annual budgets, fundraising plans, and new fundraising strategies

This role creates positive change by ensuring financial stability for a grassroots organization led by those most impacted by its work, supporting growth and community connection during an important moment of expansion.

Required skills and qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience working in development for a nonprofit
• Proficiency with Excel/Google sheets, Google Drive, Google forms, Network for Good, Canva, Eventbrite, and Zoom
• Strong writing skills, including grant writing experience
• Self-starter with strong organizing and time-management skills, and sound interpersonal skills for collaboration

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $30/hour (estimated $62,400 annually)
